Luncheon club

Come and join us for our luncheon club where we serve freshly cooked, healthy and nutritious meals everyday! Or just pop in for tea and biscuits, have a chat and get to know other members of our local elderly community.

Knitting group

Beginners and experienced knitters welcome. Learn to knit and crochet; share patterns and top tips; enjoy a chat and a cup of tea. Bring along any knitting or stitching project that you have on the go.

Services

Trips

We regularly organise trips for our members - most recently, we had a lovely day out at Chester Zoo! It was a wonderful opportunity for our members to see exotic animals, enjoy the weather and spend quality time together. Our female members recently enjoyed a day out in Manchester, where they had a delicious lunch, made the most of the sunshine by strolling through markets and having tea and dessert outside.

Events and parties

At the Hamwattan Centre, we love hosting Eid parties and celebratory events! Take a look through our gallery for photos from our most recent party in June 2022, where we celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr, a holiday which marks the end of a month of fasting in Ramadan.
